Musée des Sciences et Musée d'Histoire Naturelle

Les deux musées ont été les visites liées à la science que j'ai aimé. Le "Musée des Sciences" de Londres est l'un des musées que j'ai aimé. Il a objets de grande valeur culturelle comme la plus ancienne locomotive à vapeur ou même le cerveau de Charles Babbage conservés dans le formol. Le musée a de nombreuses chambres avec contenu totalement différent.

Après nous avons visité le Musée d'Histoire Naturelle de Londres. J'ai été surpris parl'énorme squelette de diplodocus était dans une grande salle. Le musée se composede plus de soixante-dix millions de spécimens.
Une autre chose qui m'a frappé dans ce musée a été le squelette d'un Dodo, unoiseau disparu.

The tower of London is a historic castle on the north bank of the river Tamesis in the central London. It was founded towards the end of 1066 as part of the Norman Conquest of England.




The castle was used as a prision since at leas 1100.




In the second world war bombs damage the castle, after the war was repaired and the tower of London was reopened to the public.

The British Museum

The British Museum is an old museum with a lot of antiques objects of many areas of the world.
Like the Ancient Egypt, Greece, Asia, Africa among others.
There are so many kinds of objects here like sculptures, ceramics, paints, etc.

Some of the famous objects are Rosetta Stone, the Mummy of Cleopatra from Thebes, The Athenian Akropolis, Mausoleum of Halikarnassos among others.

This museum was opened on 15 January of 1759, with a few antiquities property of a physician and scientist called Sir Hans Sloane.

this museum has too controversy because some nations wants that the British Museum take back their treasures.
The museum is looking forward to its next major building project, The World Conservation and Exhibitions Centre, which will include a new temporary exhibition space.



NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY




National Portrait Gallery is one of the most famous museums in London. It shouldn´t be confused with National Portrait Gallery, in Washington. Its collection has portraits of the most important people in history. NPG was opened in 1856. The objective was to collect portraits of the most powerful and important people in the UK. The most famous portraits are: William Shakespeare, Queen Elizabeth or "The Beatles". At first, the person must be dead to have a portrait in the NTG. But today this rule is not required. Nowadays the collection has 10.000 objects: paintings, sculptures, cartoons and drawings.




Big Ben








Big Ben is the most famous clock and the biggest in the world. It is known as the great bell of Westminster.It is in London. It is the most representative symbol . It was built in 1858. Big Ben was an original Bell , it was built in the palace yard, but it broke, and it was remade into another Bell, which is used today. On September 7, 1859 the clock became operative.



Did you know..? Edmund Beckett Denison , who invented a gravity system, was appointed Lord by Queen Victoria in the mid-nineteenth century.
TOWER BRIDGE OF LONDON



This bridge is over the River Thames.It is

close to the tower of London which gives it

its name.The bridge consists of two towers which are tied together at the upper level by means of two horizontal walkaways which are designd two withstand the horizontal forces exerted by the suspended sections of the bridge on the landward sides of the towers.


















The London Eye

THE LONDON EYE

The EDF (Energy London Eye) commonly called the London Eye is the tallest wheel in Europe and it is on the banks of the river Thames in London

The London Eye was opened by Tony Blair in 1999, but it was opened until 2000 because of technical problems. At the moment the wheel is one of the most landmarks attraction of the country.

In addition it is a focal point of the New Years celebration since 2005.
